Temporary Library Hours

Examination Proctoring

The Joliet Public Library supports the goal of lifelong education and offers written and online examination proctoring services to students of all ages. If you would like to have an exam proctored, please read the guidelines below and schedule your exam.

 General Information

Anyone may apply for examination proctoring. Exams are proctored by Adult Services staff during regular Library hours Monday through Saturday at both Joliet Public Library facilities. It is the test taker’s responsibility to contact the agencies or institutions to provide the exam materials (exams, instructions, and return information) to the proctor. Proctors will not remain with the students in the same room but will intermittently monitor them.

Important: Please contact the staff member listed below before filling out any school paperwork in order to avoid clerical errors and appointment mishaps.

 Fees

The fees for proctoring services are assessed according to the schedule below. The exam will not be administered until the fee (if any) is paid by the person taking the exam.

  •  Joliet Public Library cardholders with valid cards (valid Library cards may not be expired or have more than $5.00 in fines/fees on the account): FREE
  •  All others: A fee of $25 per exam session up to three consecutive hours.
